Impact, sliding and wear

In high speed angular contact ball bearings, the collision between ball and cage will lead to impact sliding between ball and raceway, resulting in raceway scratch and early bearing failure. Properly increasing the hole clearance can reduce the size and frequency of the collision force between the ball and the cage hole, thus reducing the impact sliding between the ball and the raceway and the wear rate of the cage.
